Media training for Food & Nutrition Scientists at PAN

Science may be a universal language, but communicating results can get lost in translation.

To solve this problem the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research PAS has joined forces with an EU-funded project, MAITRE (Media Actions for the International Training of Researchers) and organized media seminars in our scientific unit, devoted to the art of effective communication with the media and, ultimately, with the public at large.

Development of network of cooperation with industry financed from the EU funds

Since January 2012 the Institute has launched the implementation of a new project titled: "Liaison Officer - a network of cooperation and information exchange between science and agri-food industry in the region of Warmia and Mazury".

The main objective of the project is to develop cooperation network between the Institute and companies of the Warmia and Mazury agri - food sector.

Within the framework of this project, fitting in new parametrization assumptions concerning Ministry of Science and Higher Education scientific institutions, Dr. Tomasz Dołgań has been recruited on the post of a manager for cooperation with industry.  His main responsibility will be to identify companies that have high development potential and are willing to cooperate with the industry, as well as to organize broker meetings between the scientific staff of our research unit and the representatives of companies showing interest in collaboration.
