FROM WARSAW
By plane

Warsaw is accessable by plane from two airports. Frederic Chopin Airport is located in the south-western part of Warsaw, approximately 10 km from the city center and is the main port, operating all international flight. Instead, Modlin airport (http://en.modlinairport.pl in english) is situated near Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, which is about 40 km from Warsaw. Frederic Chopin Airport is easy to access by car, municipal bus service or taxi. The artery connecting the airport with the city center is Żwirki & Wigury Street. All the necessary information about airport localization and communication from the airport are clearly presented on airpotrt webpage. There is a special bus line called Modlin Bus that will take you from and to Modlin airport. All necessary information, about shuffles, prices and timetbales can be found here (http://www.modlinbus.com). Additionally, you can make a reservation for Radex bus via internet (http://bilety.radex.net.pl/index,en) which will take you straight from Modlin airport or from Central Railway Station in Warsaw city (Al. Jerozolimskie 54) dropping you off by the train/bus station in Olsztyn.

Price for the bus ticket to Olsztyn is approx. 10 €.

Train

Railway Central Station is located in the main center of Warsaw.

  • to: Olsztyn Główny
BUS

The bus to Olsztyn leaves from parking lot situated on the square named Plac Defilad 1 (at the front of The Palace of Culture and Science) which is about 5 km from the airport. FROM GDANSK

The airport is about 15 km out of the city centre. There are a few possible ways (car, bus, taxi) to get to the center of Gdansk. Information about transportation from and to airport can be found here

Train

You can also travel from Gdansk to Olsztyn by train.
Timetables available on railway company (PKP) webpage.
Second class fast train costs 12 euro and the journey takes about 3 h.
Intercity train costs about 20 euro (second class).

BUS
